With a baby on the way, Sophie and her better half have decided to go civil before the arrival of their little girl.
She was looking for a maternity wedding dress with a retro feel. During our appointment for her custom-made dress, we made several sketches that could make her white mother-to-be and bride-to-be dress more retro. So we made her pregnancy wedding dress with vintage lace and a little red ribbon. The dress is low-cut in the back and with an empire waist belt to highlight Sophie's pretty round belly.

It is with a 100% 50's inspiration that I imagined this short wedding dress. Its hourglass cut is typical of this period, and here it is inspired by Dior's "New Style" cut of that time. I simply placed the size higher to match her morphology as a pregnant woman.
